Practice 03 · Integration and Cloud

Integration You Can Map, Test and Trust.

API and event-driven architecture, hybrid and legacy integration, cross-system orchestration and the cloud services around them. Every interface has a written contract before it has code, and a read-back check after it runs.

What we deliver

From Point-to-Point to Governed Integration.

Patterns before products: we work with the integration platform you have, and recommend a change only when the landscape needs it.

01

API Architecture

API-first design with domain contracts, versioning, security and ownership, so systems can change without breaking each other.

DeliverablesAPI catalogue, contracts, versioning policy, gateway patterns.

02

Event-Driven Architecture

Event models with clear ownership, delivery guarantees, idempotency and replay, for processes that cannot wait for a batch.

Deliverablesevent catalogue, schemas, delivery guarantees, replay runbook.

03

Hybrid and Legacy Integration Modernisation

File drops, scheduled jobs and point-to-point links moved to governed integration in waves, without a big-bang cutover.

Deliverablesinterface inventory, target patterns, migration waves.

04

Cross-System Orchestration

End-to-end processes that span ERP, CRM, data platforms and partners, with compensation, error handling and monitoring by design.

Deliverablesorchestration design, error handling, monitoring runbook.

05

Interface Rationalisation and Integration Governance

One register of every interface, its owner, its contract and its health, and a review process that keeps it current.

Deliverablesinterface register, ownership, standards, review process.

06

Cloud Architecture and Data Integration

Landing zones, cloud-native services and contracted extracts to cloud data platforms, reconciled against source-system totals.

Deliverablescloud reference architecture, extract contracts, reconciliation reports.

03

When this matters

When Integration Has Become the Risk.

  • Nobody can say how many interfaces exist

  • Failures are found by users, not by monitoring

  • An integration platform is up for renewal or replacement

  • Data is moving to a cloud data platform

  • AI agents need access to enterprise systems

  • Partners and acquisitions add new systems every year

04

Questions

Do you require a particular integration platform?

No. We work with the middleware and cloud services you have. Where a change is justified, we compare options on your requirements, not on a partnership.

What is a contract per interface?

A written specification before any code: fields, semantics, volumes, error behaviour, ownership and the check that proves a run succeeded.

How do you prove an integration worked?

By reading the target system back after each run and reconciling it to the source, then storing the result as evidence.

Next step

Map Every Interface Before You Change One.

An Architecture Assessment includes an interface inventory, integration patterns and the risks between them.

A conversation with an architect, not a salesperson. Replies within one business day. NDA before discovery.
